Summary Minutes from AZ Region Solo 2 Steering Committee Meeting – Feb 19, 2004

1. Financial report – OK for now. We do not have to adjust entry fees yet,
pending final location and rent.

2. March Dates & Locations – March 14 (SUNDAY) at Casa Grande (small road course)
is likely pending SCCA approval of course features. NOT a Series event.

3. April Dates & Locations – April 3 (SATURDAY) at Phx International Raceway (PIR)
will likely be Series Event #2; final arrangements pending. April 10 (SATURDAY)
will be Series Event #3 at Firebird (FIR). PIR will be researched as a potential
replacement site for Firebird; increased cost is a concern.

4. The Club will promote more ladies incentives to come to autocross events;
Newbie Ladies Top Pax and Most Improved Newbie Lady were suggested. Open to other
suggestions.

5. Summer Events – Too much site unrest at this time to explore. No for this year.

6. Event Chair People – Chairmen or Chairwomen were designated for the next two
or three events.

7. Equipment & Transportation Needs – Very soon we will need to explore replacing
our “becoming too small” Solo 2 Equipment Truck. Discussion to follow whether it
needs to be a “big box” vehicle or a separate truck and trailer. Input solicited.
FM transmitter purchased for event announcing purposes.

8. 2004 AZ State Championship Series – Mark Shaw will negotiate final details with
Tucson (Dave Rock) and Sierra Vista (Harry Berzes). Preferences here lean towards
the Series of three events rather than one two-day event. Cost will be $30 total.
This year will be three consecutive months, rather than spread across many months;
likely Oct/Nov/Dec.

9. 2004 Trophies and Awards – Full support for providing better Series trophies
and other awards, starting this Series.

10. Series Awards Banquets – No changes, will continue as is; summer less fancy,
fall more fancy.

11. Charity Event – Moving forward for a Charity Event at Fiesta Mall in first
or second weekend October as an extra event. Much preparation and approvals still
needed.
