We are located on 4829 S 38th St. #4 in Phoenix. We sell racing slicks as well as any performance tires in the Goodyear family (Goodyear, Dunlop, Falken, etc) as well as all Red Line and Motul products.

I figured it was about time to post up our info here (as many autocrossers have already found the shop). We are at most SCCA road race events, some NASA/CRA events, and all PRO Autosports events. Through the regular race season most of our events coincide with autocrosses at the same track, so if you need tires flipped/rebalanced just come over to the big blue or yellow trailer with GOODYEAR across the side.

The shop number is (602)437-4977 for mount/balance costs call and ask for Dan (make sure to say you're an autocrosser).

if you ABSOLUTELY need something mounted/a question answered and can't get ahold of anyone at the shop, give me a call (602)828-2704 or send me an email daniel.short@asu.edu and if I'm not at the shop I'll be able to tell you what's going on.

Just another update, I've moved to San Diego to further my education (grad/law school), however the shop is still committed to the Autocross community. Just let Chris or Jim know that you are an autocrosser and they will take care of you.

see you guys around,

Dan

So is this just for loose wheels and tires or can you drive in and they will remove wheels from the car also?

Last time I went there it was loose wheels/tires only. That was awhile ago, that may have changed. Although they're fine with you putting the car on jackstands in the parking lot and making those wheels "loose" yourself. wink.gif

I use C. Shelby quite a bit and always bring in loose wheels/tires. The main guys running the installation process, Chris and Patrick are always helpful. Jim (Mgr) said that he does not want people removing their wheels/tires in their parking lot. You can call to confirm, but I recall him commenting on this.

I had tires mounted there last week, it cost me $10 per wheel for mounting and balance. If they have to dismount tires from wheel then that would be an additional $3 per wheel.

Very competent, plus they have state of the art machines... wheels aren't touched by metal.

Worth supporting, in my book. If only they were closer ...

Its sad but true, CS AZ is closing at the end of this week and referring customers to Track Fast Motorsport in Mesa: https://www.facebook.com/.../Track-...165554486837784
Jim D who managed CS in AZ for decades supported many grassroots motorsports folks like us and we thank him, Chris and Patrick for all their support over the years.

Jay - thanks so much for this post. Jim Doughty is truly one of the world's nicest human beings - we've known him since he autocrossed his Corvette in the 70's (which he still has!). Don just got off the phone with Jim; everybody still has jobs so that's good news.
