Anyone have any 18" freebie tires they're looking to get rid of? I'm looking for something in the 225 - 255 range for my Bimmer. Don't care what they are as long as the're not corded. I'll even throw in a case of beer! biggrin.gif I'm Jones'n to get back out there and really don't want to wait for the spring series when i'll have cash for new tires. Man, I knew I should have kept me CSP ride! mad.gif

I’ve been reading a few articles lately and it appears that Toyo had a lot of success at nationals this year. Unfortunately, our surface isn’t the same and we rarely get any rain and according to Andy Hollis, they’re junk once the surface gets hot; so I’m not sure those results mean a whole lot to us Phoenicians? LOL! So what are street tire folks running here (Toyo’s, Kooks, Bridgestone, etc)? The new Falken RT-615k’s look promising?

For Sale, 1 set of black Diamond Racing Wheels
13x8s, 4x100 bolt pattern with 5" back spacing. The wheels are in good condition and were originally mounted on my former CSP 91 Mazda Miata, but they may fit other vehicles? I sold the car so I no longer have a need for them. These wheels retail for $80+ each direct from Diamond Racing + shipping. I'm asking $220 OBO for the set. If interested, call Derrick at 623-326-6564 or email me at

***SOLD*** Im thinking of selling my CSP Miata. Figured I’d offer it up to my Autox friends here first before posting it on Craigslist. I’m asking $4500 OBO.
For those that don’t know, it’s a red 91 Mazda Miata with 171k+ on the chassis. A 1.8L motor swap was done sometime between 2005 - 2006 before I bought the car, but I don’t know the mileage on it. Seeing I only use the car for AutoX, i've only put a few hundred miles on it in three years. It runs strong, starts every time, never had any problems and it’s been locally competitive (just ask Lahey, Sattler and the rest of the CSP crowd smile.gif ). On fresh R tires it was good enough to finish third in class behind Peters and Gleaton. It only needs a driver and some fresh tires to be ready to go. If interested IM, call or email me at derrick_disharoom@msn.com or 623-326-6564. Mods thus far are:
- New paint (about two years old now.)
- Motor swap (97 1.8L)
- Flow matched injectors
- Water pump and timing belt replaced last year
- Headers (4, 2, 1)
- Spec Miata exhaust
- Mega Squirt PNP programmable ECU
- Innovate LC-1 Digital Controller & Bosch wideband o2 sensor.
- Custom air intake
- Koni Adjustable Race yellow shocks (short bodies)
- Ground Control Coilover kit (700 FR & 450 RR)
- Racing Beat front sway bar with Hemi-jointed end links and brace kit
- MazdaSpeed Competition Limited slip diff
- Fidanza Light weight aluminum flywheel
- SPEC Clutch & Pressure plate
- Braided Stainless steel brake lines
- Wilwood adjustable brake proportioning valve
- Custom powder coated PanaSport C8 wheels
- Race seats (Pepboy’s cheapies, but they’re light and get the job done.)
- Non-factory hard top (not in the best shape, just use it to trailer the car to & from events)
- Factory soft top
- Front strut tower brace
- Style bar (I think it’s a Racing Beat style bar?)
- After market steering wheel
- Class legal weight reduction
- And a bunch of spare parts including all the factory AC components and exhaust manifold should you choose to make it a street legal car.
- The car has also been corner weighed and balanced. 2250lbs with the driver in the car.

Sattler – 39.386 on 255 series Hoosiers
Gleaton – 39.582 on 275 series Hoosiers
Disharoom – 39.707 on 215 series Kumhos

From this first event the new 255 Hoosiers appear to be 2 tenths quicker than the bigger 275’s and .3 tenths quicker than the smaller 215 series Kumho’s? However seeing Kevin conned away a 38 run in TO and I had that 39.7 run in TO, maybe it doesn’t proven anything and the verdict is still out on the new 255 Hoosiers? cool.gif
