Hey wait, didn't we already do a two day event this year? Yeah we did. But we're doing it again. How awesome is that?
What: Two days of national tour style autocross action in Tucson When: Saturday, October 18th & Sunday, October 19th Where: Marana Regional Airport Why: Because awesome, that's why. Details: - Saturday is billed as a 'special event' which will not count towards any AZBR series - Sunday will count as one of the four events in the AZBR Fall 2014 series - Combined results for participants running Saturday and Sunday will be calculated and posted for national tour style results for the weekend - Two day tech will be available. If you register and tech for both days on Saturday, you will not have to visit registration or tech on Sunday! - Run Group A will get an extra 'dust off the line' run that will not be recorded on both days, as is the case at all AZBR events at Marana Entry Fees: Regular AZBR event entry fees. If you sign up online and pay in full online or in person on Saturday (cash or check) for both days, we'll give you $10 off the weekend. So, SCCA members, if you do Comps and TOs registering online for both days that's $60 for 16 runs. Find a better autox value at a better site somewhere, I dare ya. Not an SCCA member? Know someone who isn't? Bring them out! The weekend membership fee is only paid once, thus non members essentially get another $10 off for running both days if they register online and pay in full Saturday. So a newbie can break into the sport with 16 runs over 2 days for $70. Online Registration: Online registration opens Thursday evening, October 2, 2014 at 7pm AZ time. Yes, you do have to register for each day; this makes it easier for individuals who can or want to do one day but not the other. Saturday Registration Sunday Registration Paypal: Paypal payments are accepted while online registration is open. Please send your payments to 'payments@azbrscca.org' and add $2 to cover Paypal fees. Please make sure you pay the correct amount! If you have questions refer to the event details or post a reply to this topic. Online registration for both days will close on Thursday, October 16th at 7:00pm. Read that again, as it is different than the usual closing time of AZBR events. Don't wait, and don't lose your chance at the discounts. Run group preferences and work position preferences will be processed first come, first served as with our normal events. Event Schedule: For both Saturday & Sunday 7:00am: Gates open to competitors 7:45am: Registration and Tech open 8:30am: Registration closes 8:45am: Tech closes 8:45am (est): Novice walk 9:00am: Mandatory driver's meeting 9:15am (est): First car out. For more details, check this out. Saturday post-event @ Texas Roadhouse Saturday post-event we will be gathering at Texas Roadhose restaurant (8450 N Cracker Barrel Rd Marana, AZ 85743-8581) for dinner and drinks. All are welcome, however food and drinks are not provided or paid for by the club. -------------------- Jeff Israel

In for 2DoA this year! Haven't been to Marana since the 2012 MMR (now 2DoA), and have been itching to make an event. Glad that work's finally slowing down...

No doubt one of the premier autocross events in Arizona. Two days of (different) challenging courses, centralized location (between northern and southern Arizona),
and the opportunity to participate just Saturday, just Sunday, or both days. Scoring is provided as individual days and also as a two day event. Tailored to your personal calendars, whichever you are able to fit in. Some of us even pretend this is something like the Arizona State Championships, a gathering of all the top cars and drivers from around the state. Sometimes some drivers from nearby states attend too. If you are like me, I am unable to attend some of the out-of-state Tour events, which involves much more travel and expense, so this is my opportunity to get some of the feel of such larger events. If you have yet to journey to Marana (only about 1 hour south of Wild Horse Pass/Firebird), I suggest this would be a great time to try out this site. Hotel rooms nearby (on Cortaro) run about $60'ish dollars depending on what discounts you can muster, so in many cases it's cheaper to rent an overnight room than to spend the gas to drive back and forth between days. That would also make it more convenient to stay for the Saturday Night dinner/Social at the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, an actual walk from many of the Hotels on Cortaro. Still time to register, hope to see many of you there. ![]() Event Flyer and Details -------------------- Scott Meyers

We've always used the Days Inn there; I reserved rooms months ago, got a rate of $43.00 (AARP).

Thanks David. In the future if you miss the Run/Work order when you register, the Run/Work order is also on the right hand column of the Calendar page. It is not obvious when glancing at the actual date, but the information has always been on our calendar page.

Last day to preregister for October Two Days of Awesome. You have until 7pm tonight.
If you miss this deadline you can still register onsite. It just cost you more and you have to use a pen and paper, while you watch everyone else who preregistered go though registration much faster than you, and that would be awesome. -------------------- Amsoil Dealer
