Yes, the Fall Series has arrived. You've been tweaking and massaging your car across the past few weeks, and now you need a place to go out and
test all of your improvements!

This is that place.

Go HERE for event details and access to Registration. Yes, it's open (Mind the Cones). Tucson is back to their A/C and B/D Fall Run/Work pairings.

Here I am taking my now highly tuned Mustang out for a few break-in miles on local streets amongst traffic, testing some of the many improvements
on my red car. Note there is little body lean as I enter the next corner. I don't wear my goggles unless I'm in serious competition. tongue.gif

Anyway, hope to see many of you also out this next Sunday for a little fun with your own car. Bring your goggles!!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I am coming down for this testing some new parts. Is there a place to park my truck and 28 foot enclosed, or do I need to park off site? Thank you to whoever can advise

Hmmm. I'm not really "The Guy" to answer this, but I'll give it my best guess.

Ted Lewis, Mark Huffman, Fred Zust and some others all have trailers/rigs of considerable size. Not sure of the footage. They attend many of the Marana Events.

Upon arrival I think it's Dave Rock or Rob Rockefeller who "arranges" a specific area for the larger trailers to park, for best use of space. Check in with them upon arrival rather than just winging it. The better organized parking is, the better for traffic flow and everyone.

Should there be a specific weekend where everyone with big trailers decide to all come at once (like next months Two Days of Awesome), there may be the need for alternative placement.

Great of you to announce and ask first, that helps. I'm sure someone in Tucson has read this and will also respond soon.

See you there.

There is space for sure - in the worst case, there is space in the gravel outside the gate. If you haven't been to Marana, realize that "outside the gate" is literally 5 feet from the pad.

As long as not all the trailer people show up, they can probably get you somewhere on the pad along the edge of paddock.

Gates open at 7am. Get there early for a better choice of trailer parking. Waiver person can direct to a place to park. We typically have enough paddock space for everyone to park on the asphalt. As they mentioned you can also park just outside the gate too.

Event Registration is about to close. If you've waited until the last minute.......You're there!!!!! cool.gif

There is more than one reason to attend an Autocross, you know.

Some do it for the thrill of competition, but there are others who recognize the value of "drivers training" too. Glenda and I have
saved our "bacon" more than once on the streets and highways thanks to the drivers education we have absorbed at Autocrosses.
Knowing what your car can do under extreme emergency conditions BEFORE it becomes necessary is a huge safety advantage.

And then there is the "just plain fun" aspect. Nice to win, but just coming out and playing with your car(s) with your friends is a reward
all on its own.

So anyway, this might be a good weekend to bring out a neighbor, a friend, a business or school acquaintance....... just someone you know who has
not yet had the autocross experience.

It doesn't always have to be about trophies to be worthwhile or fun. beer.gif

No excuses as far as highway construction either....... wink.gif

(And Harry, you can have A-1 if you really want it....... wink.gif )

Fine.

Done.

Looks like the weekend plans up here have changed. rolleyes.gif

No forced 5 mile marches and tribal chanting at Watson Lake whilst SWMBO is recovering from carrying around a #100 Golden Retriever.
The Pow Wow will have to go on without me. Oh man!

My Sunday just freed up. So guess I'll be changing tarz after visiting the Corvette Convention Downtown on Saturday.

Nope Scott, Still haven't ordered tires, waiting on the big sale at TR.
Im sure I can get another event out of them, two with time only probably not.
Mikey, the Buick is available.

Couldn't ask for more beautiful day!

Clever offsets and subtle tricks in course design.

Thanks for a job well done to Marana crew, as always!
