Likely many of you already know this, and have registered. That said, Registration is still open until tomorrow evening if you've been waffling on that decision.

Click HERE to register if you've lost your way.

Here are some event details:

I know that some of you may be saying, what's the big deal? (Well, nobody I know would say that, but there may be someone, somewhere. There's always one)

Well, did you know that even though there has been one event in this 2017 Spring Series already, that any and all trophy spots are still wide open? Did you also know that recently there have been some significant car moves made, that involve established drivers changing cars and/or classes?

What suspense!!! Who are they, and what new cars will appear Sunday? ohmy.gif

Well, there is only one way to find out. Sign up, come on out, and be amazed at what you see. Don't say you weren't warned.

And finally, if you were a slacker last month and missed the January Event, you indeed missed one of the BEST course designs ever anywhere in Arizona. Fast enough, challenging enough, and just plain fun to drive. Act now and don't miss the next one. You will regret it. cool.gif

Very fun event. That course was silly, who designed it? I'm not complaining.

I am pretty sure that was our largest group on that site ever by at least 20 entrants. Please be patient with our timing person, as I know he is still doing results.

Thank you to every one for making the event run as smooth as it did, being ready to launch as soon as we were ready for you to go, and for helping out with the setup and tear down.

Rob was responsible for the course.

2015 Civic Si in STF should be STX

In Open Classes, "DNF" Meyers is Scott Meyers. I resent the implication........ tongue.gif

Who is the missing Driver and Car in Ladies?

Street Tire - DS Voboril, BS Berns, STP Vallee and STP Cerniglia should be in their Open Classes. Or Pax.

FYI - Street Tire in Tucson is only for Classes that do not allow Street Tires; like Burrow in CSP. DS, BS, and STP classes all have Street Tires as the declared tires in those Classes. So you can't run "Street". smile.gif

There was a bit of confusion after the Miata that I (David Beck) was driving broke down on its first run. I did comp runs 2-4 (A run group) in a stock 330ci (Same car as Conner Hodgkins). That car is not in STR or STS. I'm having trouble accessing the rules so I'm not sure what stock class it's in but Travis was thinking FS. For my TOs (B run group), I ran a 2012 GTI (same as Tommy Kearn) and Travis told me that car is actually in DSP (not STF or STX) due to its tune. I apologize for that not being set up correctly from the beginning but next time there will be much less confusion as we now know what class the cars are in. The raw times all seem fine, it's just the classing that was wrong from the start.

My apologies for entering Street Tire by mistake. I guess I've been away too long.
And I thought I was doing so good to have read the rules about using a board under a jack in Tucson!
Please move me to PAX class.

If I run the MINI any more in AZBR before getting back in saddle with the B-Mod car,
I'll remember to remember how Street Tire changes from SVSCC to AZBR.

Yeah, you must have left before SCCA added about forty more Classes. wink.gif

Each local Region struggles with trying to make the SCCA National Classing jungle more clear, but knowing how SCCA Classing works is an acquired taste.
I do prefer Tucson's more straightforward approach, with limited other Groupings. But when SCCA renamed Stock Classes "Street" Classes, it opened the confusion barn door. tongue.gif

That said, last weekends event was among the best run, most fun events I've ever been to. Most Marana courses have been smooth, flowing, yet challenging. Setting up for the next corner correctly is an "element" by itself. No extra cones needed. I only did that first right-hander correctly once all day. I'm not very good at picking my own line. rolleyes.gif

More, please. beer.gif

Civic has been moved to STX. All the other issues were resolved before I posted that results are here so maybe you are looking at cached results. DNF Meyers sounds appropriate. smile.gif

Moved you from Open to PAX. Not sure why we need so many posts on this. It was fixed this morning before I posted the results link here.
