My only engine mod is the K&N Cold air intake but I would like to get the Vtec lowered maybe 1000 RPM and the redline raised maybe 500 RPM. Does anyone have a shop they would recommend for this? Also are there any other recommended engine mods that are worth the time and money?

I was very happy with UMS Tunings work on my Greddy e-Manage for my 05 when I had it. I think they also do Hondata for the 06+’s

If it is a pre-06, I would wait until the 2018 rules come out to decide; the proposed rule change would expand your options. If 06+, UMS, Gernby, Karcepts are a few options. |

I am not looking to do any radical tuning that would require me to run any gas other than pump 91 octane gas. I mainly would like to lower the point where the VTEC kicks in and maybe raise the rev limiter 500 RPM if that can be safely done. I will have to take a look at what the proposed changes are. Thanks -------------------- DAVE MUNSEY

+1 on UMS tuning... they did mine and I really like it! Yes, I did go to UMS and it turned out that Tony and I had autocrossed together in ESP Open back in 2000-2001. He found 11 horsepower for me on a basically stock engine except for the K&N cold air intake by installing a Apexi fuel/air/Vtec controller and tuning it. I went ahead and did the piggy back even though it sounds like STR might be able to use stand alone ECU's in the near future. My engine has 59K on it which is not bad but it is a little weaker than some I have driven and some I have read about . It does feel better now though. Need to get it out to an event soon. -------------------- DAVE MUNSEY
