In case you hadn't noticed, Jeff W's been busy crunching numbers for the Spring Series standing SO FAR. As in, showing results for best two of three to date. So if you click on the results link above, you will see those partial results.

In the Series Final Results, we total only the best three of four events, allowing everyone to drop their worst score (or their one DNS if one event was missed).

Those drivers showing in Trophy positions now, are for reference only. It ain't over yet. wink.gif If you have entered only two events so far, you will need to enter this next weekend's event to be "Trophy Eligible".

So, even more incentive to come out for the fourth and final Series Event this next SUNDAY (yes, we're back to Sundays).

Hoping to see many of you there. cool.gif

Brian Miller has taken on resurrecting the venerable "Pylon Press", our newsletter that "used to be" years ago. He's doing a bang-up job, too.

Look for it a few weeks after each event HERE

On the homepage, just click on the Pylon Press Link for the latest edition.

Thanks, Brian. Well done! beer.gif

Az Region provides many "extra" Classes or Categories for Drivers to compete in. SCCA provides the basic structure with all of their Open Classes, but then we create extra Groups based upon handicap factors; we call this "PAX". All of these are Optional. It is your choice where to compete.

Registering and competing in SCCA Open Classes is the only competition Category where you will be matched against cars from your same Open Class. But, sometimes you have no one to compete against in your Open Class, thus the need for the extra Categories.

Drivers may not realize that there are actually others in their same Class, but hidden within some of the PAXED Categories.

What follows would be how our Results would look if everyone just entered their actual SCCA Open Class. Provided simply as FYI.

The PDF shows BOTH pages, the snapshot shows only page one.

Enjoy....

Not only is it fun do drive your own car at these Autocross Adventures, it's a bonus to watch some of the "heavy hitters" go after one another.

This coming Sunday is yet one more adventure for all of us.

Who will prevail? Corvette vs BMW. Mustang vs Scion. And now, coming soon to your local Autocross, perhaps Supra vs Viper. It just doesn't get any better than that.

So, fun to drive, fun to watch, challenging courses to negotiate (some more than others wink.gif tongue.gif ), Marana provides it all. I'm going this Sunday, the wife Glenda is also planning on attending and driving too. Bring yours or even your "SO" or "BFF" to the party.

Should be easy to get there, as the roads are not too occluded this weekend.

See you there? Go HERE to register. Yes, there's still time. cool.gif

Breaking News!

THE PYLON PRESS RETURNS!!!!!!

Arizona Region SCCA has decided to bring back our Club Newsletter, the "Pylon Press". Back in the "Old Days" (Yes, where I'm from wink.gif ), we used to publish these once a month, print them, and then mail to all drivers (remember "Mail"?). Slowly it evolved with the times, and it eventually turned into an online version. Finally, it just passed away from natural causes. Lack of volunteer editors. sad.gif

Well, I'm here to tell you, thanks to (volunteer Editor) Brian Miller, that "IT'S BACK"!! It even has it's own tab on the AZSOLO Website page. Just click on that for Brian's first edition. Some Solo news, driver profiles, tidbits, tips, and more! Look him up at the events and say "Hi". cool.gif

And "Thank you Brian", for taking this on. beer.gif

Look for a new edition after each event every month. smile.gif
