Not only is it fun do drive your own car at these Autocross Adventures, it's a bonus to watch some of the "heavy hitters" go after one another.

This coming Sunday is yet one more adventure for all of us.

Who will prevail? Corvette vs BMW. Mustang vs Scion. And now, coming soon to your local Autocross, perhaps Supra vs Viper. It just doesn't get any better than that.

So, fun to drive, fun to watch, challenging courses to negotiate (some more than others wink.gif tongue.gif ), Marana provides it all. I'm going this Sunday, the wife Glenda is also planning on attending and driving too. Bring yours or even your "SO" or "BFF" to the party.

Should be easy to get there, as the roads are not too occluded this weekend.

See you there? Go HERE to register. Yes, there's still time. cool.gif

Yes
50% rain chances in the North lands.
SO I'm wimping out and staying at the Meyers family Super Marana resort no less.
You two know where to find me.
Especially if food and beer are involved.

Chucky's Winged Victory will also allegedly be down from Prescott, despite the rainy forecast up north.
He stays at B&B's, none of that proletariat stuff for him.

Do we have a dedicated results guy? If not, why not? I know people have volunteered to get results out so that it gets done quickly. If we DO have a dedicated results guy, they are not good at their job and need to be replaced. I know people have volunteered to get results out so that it gets done quickly...

Regarding the Results, I noticed two corrections (I think - SCCA doesn't make it easy these days):

Carlson Eby 1971 Javelin , listed in CAM-C, should be CAM-T (Side note - I believe it's not an AMX BTW, rather a Javelin. AMX's were two-seaters)

(Any relation to John Eby?)

And

Zack Hewitt listed as C Street, I believe should be D Street (unless he has the FACTORY TRD suspension)

Please review and verify just in case. cool.gif

Yes, CAM-T.

Actually, the full description should read "1971 AMC Javelin AMX". The last 2-seat AMX was produced in 1970. In 1971, it became the premium model for Javelin. Hence the Javelin AMX nomenclature.

What, TMI, now?

Victor, thanks for that clarification.

My frame of reference was my youth (the memory of which is still somewhat intact) in which these existed new, and the Randall American Dealership (Sp?) locally sponsored an AMX SCCA road race car, as well as a local Autocross AMX driven by Jim Happ. These were both the short wheelbase models, which I thought of as “two seaters”. Only AMX’s I ever knew.

I see that Carlson specializes in these, and has collected and played with them for many years. He also would know more than I.😉👍😎
