Hello first post here, just registered for first autocross event, very excited!

My car is a manual 2016 GTI 4-door PP. Stage I APR tune. SACHS clutch. Bilstein B12 suspension (only about 1" lower than stock). Unitronic intercooler. Michelin PS4S Tires.

Any suggestions for Classing? I put G Street after reading the PDFs on Mind the Cones not sure if that's right though.

Any general recommendations/suggestions are also welcome biggrin.gif

STH, your suspension alone takes you out of GS

Sid is 100% correct your car would be STH, GS the only main mods are with nothing more then +-7mm offset of 51mm, stock ride height. You can upgrade shocks, only 1 sway bar front or rear (usually rear though), also no tuning. Sid is a very good STH driver in a Focus ST and I drive a 2015 GTI in GS. If you need any help don’t hesitate to reach out to either one of us.

Glad you came out had some fun, I saw Ian was riding with you he’s a very good driver and great person to learn from. Just remember that when you register for the next event just change your car to STH class. See you at the next event🤙

Hmmm.

OK, if you are Chuck, then who is Misha1?

Oh...... “Mikhail”?

Looks like he was missed in the results? Only showing in TO’s.

Someone should tell Chris Sparling (scorer).

You got it this is Mikhail. I think I DNF all off my tries official attempts in the first event, still fun though. Did a little better on the Aug 25th. The TO's were better there. Any idea why my car was listed as DSP in the results? What is DSP anyway.

Cheers,
Mikhail

Well, one mystery down...... tongue.gif

Next up, what is DSP? Wayyyy too much to type.

Has to do with what stock class your car was in before modifications were added, then which modifications.

If you’re in Sierra Vista this weekend for their event, I could help. If you’re in Phoenix this weekend, lots of others could also help. Ask one of the Club officers.

I and many others that could help will also be at the next Tucson event. There’s a lot to learn about this sport. Gets easier every event.

There’s a lot of folks around very willing to help newbies.😎

Upgraded clutches aren't allowed in STH, so it goes DSP.

Good catch. I wasn't paying attention to the Sachs clutch. I know they make alot of OEM as well as aftermarket stuff so I'm guessing his is the aftermarket?
