OK, my relocation to Europe looks likely to happen soon so it's time to get rid of the WRX. Here are the details:

Year: 2003
Mileage: less than 40k
Color: Sonic yellow
Mods: Dark side and rear window tint, Drawtite Class I hitch (only used for sons' BMX bikes)
Extras: The sonic yellow cars were a limited edition that came with an alarm/immobilizer as standard, along with the extended center console, and carbon fiber effect trim.

Car has a full Subaru service history, with additional oil changes every 3,250 miles between services.

It has a fully-transferable "Gold Plus" extended factory warranty (to 6 years / 80k miles) with zero deductible, which is the main reason I didn't modify it, and also why I was wary about using it for AutoX under my real name. Extended warranty good thru 3/17/09!!

It has done maybe 8 local autocrosses, using a second set of wheels and tires (already sold). Current tires are the original and will need replacing before long. Small (half-inch) ding in rear bumper, otherwise good cond. Non-smoking owner, and apart from AutoXing, all freeway miles.

Will sell to local autoXer for $16k firm. First with the cash takes it away, or it goes in Autotrader for $500 more next week.

We will be moving back to Europe later this summer, and unfortunately that means I've got to get rid of the GT6. A fortune has been spent on this car by me and its previous owner, and I would rather that the car went to an autoXer than anyone who wouldn't understand what it was built for. It has been built to FSP regs, and as such has the following spec:

California / AZ car - no rust anywhere
Clear AZ title, in hand

Factory spec
1971 Triumph GT6 MkIII
2-litre straight 6 ohv engine
4-speed gearbox with factory-option epicyclic overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and top.
Front discs, rear drums
Fully-refined IRS (unlike early cars) with transverse leaf spring
Valencia Blue (original color)

Work done by previous owner
Engine rebuild
Diff rebuild
Gearbox rebuild
New brakes
New front wishbones
Added new overdrive and short propshaft

Triple UK-spec Stombergs, newly overhauled
Manifold to suit above, made in US by Richard Good
6-3-1 Exhaust manifold
2 1/2" stainless exhaust
Polyurethane bushes throughout
SPAX adjustable shocks all-round
3/4" lowering block on rear spring (1" as spare)
7/8" front sway bar (1" as spare)
8x 13 Keizer three-piece wheels (2 spare outers to make 10" width)
Kumho V710 tires, 215/50x13, three events old
Electric fuel pump
Lightweight flywheel
Stainless brake lines
480lb front springs (380lb as spares)
Custom cold-air intake / plenum
Oil cooler / thermostat
spin-on oil filter mod
Small battery

The car is in solid condition, but would benefit from a respray if it is to be used for anything other than a competition car. It turns heads wherever it goes, and brings people out of the woodwork who 'had one just like it' when they were a lad. With some development, an LSD, and a good driver it could be right at the top of the PAX tables.

Asking $4,000obo

I bought this from Pegasus Racing a couple of months ago for the GT6, but found as soon as it arrived that it doesn't fit in my car, so I put it back in its box. Guess I should have measured first.

Here's a quote from the Pegasus website:

"OMP Eco Seat The most popular competition seat in Europe. It is strong and lightweight and is homologated to FIA Standard 8855-1999; suitable for road use too! Eco has four seat belt holes, a steel tube frame-and a great comfort level at an excellent price."

Anyway, take advantage of my stupidity and save yourself some money. Comes complete with mounting brackets, P/N 3458, also new and unused. $250obo. Seat is black.

This is worth watching, whether or not you are a Honda person

I want to increase my spring rate by shortening my coils. Is there someone in the valley people can recommend to do this, or should I just take an angle grinder to them myself??
