As above for sale. 1995 Miata, 1.8L motor and open diff.

Bad news first: It's ugly as sin and very tatty inside and out. Torn drivers seat and some small electrical gremlins; specifically the backup lights are on permanently, the AC compressor wire was chewed through and the turn signals run too fast. I think the first two problems were caused by a pack rat chomping on wires. Everything is a pretty easy fix. I'd do it myself but I'm bored with the car and have several other projects I'd rather work on. And I'd like to money from the Miata to put into them. The tags expired in May (if I remember correctly).

Good news: It runs great, has a pretty new battery. The motor and transmission and rear end work great. It has almost new (non race worthy) tires. The car passes emissions. The AC works great (if the wire gets placed). The top is in good shape, with no holes and even the rear window is still in it.

Great news: It has a complete race suspension system installed. Specifically; Eibach springs and ground control perches front and rear, Racing Beat tubular front sway bar, Flying Miata rear upper shock mounts (for more suspension travel) and bump stops. Koni Race front shocks and Koni Sport rear shocks.

With a little tinkering and some good wheels and tires this could be a pretty competitive stock class car for cheap money.

I'm asking $1900 because of the suspension. I think it's a reasonable price for a pretty well set up car, but I'm willing to negotiate a little on the price.

Call or text the number below or PM me here. I'll post some pics if there's interest. It'll go on craigslist next week.

I am building a Lotus 7 replica and within the next two weeks or so it'll be on it's wheels and I'll take that first 'ninja drive' on a private road, of course ph34r.gif . It will be without bodywork, fenders, etc. I will have seatbelts, the seats will be bolted or tied down and everything will be tight and, I would think, safe enough for a closed course. I presume the completed car will compete in D-Mod as the engine is a naturally aspirated stock 1.8L from a Mazda Miata.

I would like the use the Feb 4th event as a shake down but I don't want to go to the expense of renting a trailer and hauling it over to Firebird if I am going to be denied runs because the car is not acceptable for some reason. What are your opinions on if I would be permitted to run the car on Feb 4th, if I manage to get it completed and brought over, that is?

I have a partially built Locost(*) for sale. It has a Toyota 'silvertop' 20V 4AGE engine (approx. 160hp), mated to a Toyota T50 5-speed transmission, and also a rear axle from a 1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S with LSD. The bodywork I have is a scuttle and nose cone.

The motor has run and is setup for a Megasquirt, but the Megasquirt is not included, although I might be convinced if the selling price is correct. The clutch is new, the brakes are all new with Wilwood pedals and a balance bar. The steering is done. With work, this would make a great track or autocross car. I can include two Kirkey aluminum racing seats and covers. Lots more included.

Make no mistake, this is a project and will require some work to get it completion, but I think much of the hard work has already been done. Many pictures are available and I can take any pictures you like and set up an appointment to view the car. The car is located close to the 101 & Cave Creek Rd at David Lahey's place, but I am located in Laveen.

I have little doubt anyone will want this, but I have a Toyota 18R-C motor from a 1972 Toyota Celica ST. The motor ran when it was parked about 5 years ago and is probably good candidate for a rebuild. It has a 4 speed attached which is unlikely to work. If there's no takers I'll take it to the wrecking yard. It's free, you just have to collect it from Ahwatukee.
