Yesterday at the AMP Event my car developed a sudden severe misfire on it's third run.

A friend brought over a code scanner, and (eventually) it showed a misfire on cylinder #3. Day was done.

It was a BLUETOOTH Scanner, and it took FOREVER to transfer data to be read. I suspect that was because there was little to no internet at AMP. Also never cleared the code, took too long.

But on to the question. So, would it be wiser to buy one that fed totally off the OBD II port? Or, not really? Need advice here.

That, and what models/companies are the most reliable and easy to use. Please share any and all opinions or experiences.

TIA.

OK, it's that time of year when SCCA begins to rethink a few things. We've seen that they have ADDED a couple of new Classes for 2020, but there is usually some "adjusting" of some existing Classes as well.

First one out is B Street. The Tesla Model 3 is now a SS Car ohmy.gif . Doug Rowse and Steve E beware; they are coming after you.

There may or may not be other changes. Stay tuned to this channel. cool.gif

Might want to read up on this stuff, especially if you're doing scoring for AZSolo, Tucson, and Sierra Vista. I've already updated my scoring clipboard.

Or, if you're in one of the updated Classes and just like to complain or whine......... wink.gif Here you go!!! tongue.gif

Here's the Site: https://www.autoxandtrack.com/scca-autocros...dex-comparison/

And the five classes just updated are:

SS = .822
FS = .804
STH = .813
CAM-C = .818
CAM-T = .817

Hey All, did I miss the email reminder announcement that Registration is opening for this event? I know of the event, I'm a SSS for this event, but never got the usual Email blast announcement for this. Are we still doing those? Lazy me, I guess.

So, I just now went and registered on MotrosportReg.Com. In case you were not aware as I was not, suggest you register too.

I'm still new to this MSR site, and did not see a place to put your second or third choice for Run Groups. Did I miss it, or did it go away? Same for Work Assignment, only one choice here?

Appreciate any coaching. Thanks.

2020 ARIZONA AUTOCROSS DATES (Updated)

I have always been a fan of supporting all local Autocross Clubs, and attend as many events as money and time allow, whether in Phoenix or elsewhere. Solo is my prime hobby, and goes first into my home recreational calendar. See how many you can make this year.
