Right, Steve.😉😉😉

Let’s start a lottery on who locally will get the first one. I choose Joel Schotz.👍

As far as which Class, are you serious? Either “Excluded”, or SS.

Or with my luck, H Street. Hell, everything else seems to have landed there lately.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

Perfect fit for H Street cool.gif
I'm sure it will end up in SS, but sometimes they put new cars in SSP. Wondering if anyone has any insight. Doubt I will be the first, but eventually....

SSP Classification is just a catch all for cars that are not otherwise classed. So SSP until it gets a class.

Should be interesting to see if C8 actually will be noticeably faster at all than the current best optioned C7 in SOLO ll. First: Mfg published weights are usually always not curb- not as one would race one with oil and gas in it. Some estimate C8 Zora to actually be 3600 lbs (wet) or more. I personally cannot see how gas and oil would add that much, but historically it seems to track that actual weights are much higher than published.

While mid-engined, rear heavy can potentially be a little better under accel. as well as braking for SAME total tire footprint, many already suspect the best performing C8 will have less total total tire from mfg. than best C7- thus, it may not corner as well for about the same total weight. BUT I noticed it is 2.2" wider than C7, so if tire track width was increased too and not just overall body width, added track width could help offset the narrower tires some.

Harder to predict: advanced electronics of the really neat differential , suspension/shock/braking electronic tuning , and motor flexibility Those 3 aspects could more than make up for any lower steady state cornering grip in solo lap times.

Picture of C8 attached is likely to be what most people trying to catch a C8 will see--but Gawd, while it is so radically unique in every other view, from the the rear, it looks so much like a Camaro!
