Just found these hidden in an SCCA Publication.

Might want to download and save for future reference. Hope some find these useful for our local events (Phoenix, Tucson, Sierra Vista). cool.gif

First, the most recent 2019 SCCA Solo Rulebook.

Hey Everyone, 2019 has crept upon us, and gosh darn, we've already had three of our four Spring Series Events. Hopefully, you knew this already. dry.gif

If not......SURPRISE!!!! beer.gif

Anyway, Registration is now open for the next, the fourth event at AMP, and since it will be some time until our next one (September), you do not want to miss this.

Event details and links to the "Mind The Cones" Registration System are CLICK HERE.

The earlier you register, the more likely you will get your Run Group Selection (Hint wink.gif ).

SCCA National has gotten out their 2019 Rulebook online (what's the rush?) , and what is especially interesting is that some Classing decisions have finally been made. See, we in Arizona start running in January, and apparently they don't start back east until April (snow melt?), so just now they've published the 2019 finalized rules.

Most S-2000's are now in C Street. Porsche Cayman and Boxster S owners and drivers, better read up. Some of you are now in A Street. There have been other changes. These are just a few that I've heard about. It is your job to keep up on these things and declare your correct Class, so heads up! wink.gif Read up. cool.gif

Here's a link to the 2019 SCCA Solo Rules.....CLICK HERE

Even if you have not run any of the previous three events, you can still enter this event. Each one is scored as a stand-alone event, but if you're into the Series, we publish those results too.

If you are new to the sport, we have Instructors available at the event. Just ask. Or, try to look confused. That almost always works too. We're suckers for that. rolleyes.gif

Any Classing questions, also ask here. Our Classing rules can be challenging to the newer drivers. Help with that is available.

So, now is a good time to sign up for our Season and Series Finale! Hope to see many of you there. cool.gif Sign up now. MIND THE CONES

OK, here you go. Our March 10th results re-sorted as if we were all running by the SCCA Rulebook, at a major SCCA Event.

It appears that many of you in the "real" results are starting to realize that you can run by Class, instead of one of the handicapped "PAX" Categories. That's good, because you get a perspective on how you are doing against cars just in your own actual Class.

First a one page snapshot, and then a PDF of all three pages.

(Side note - looks like a lot of Novices last event put down SM as their Class; "Street Modified". Were you sure?)

Now all three pages....

Yes, another chance to autocross this month! Great! Once a month is just not enough.

Click HERE for all Registration information as well as Event Details.

Only one hour south of Wild Horse Raceway, very close especially for those living in the East Valley. I travel from North Glendale and it's only about 1 hour 45 minutes.

They run four run groups, paired by A/C and B/D.

Weather and course will be great. Note these travel restrictions to avoid any delays. Hope to see many of you Northerners there.

Time marches on, and here we are at the third event of our Spring Fall Even Series.

You can run the entire Series, or even just one event. If you've missed one, or even two so far, no worries, the amount of fun playing with your car safely and legally is unlimited. Come on out, enter now.

Click THIS LINK for all of the necessary information, and links to the Mind The Cones (MTC) Registration page.

Selecting the correct SCCA Class for your car at times can be complicated. Start with the rulebook (page 145) Attached File  2018_Solo_Rules_complete_reduced.pdf ( 3.78MB ) Number of downloads: 30
go first to the Stock Classes (now called "Street"), and start reading. If you have ANY modifications from bone-stock, each Category defines which mods are allowed there. Pretty much goes STREET...STREET TOURING (& CAM)...STREET PREPARED...PREPARED....MODIFIED. Like that.

If you have any doubts as to which your car is, ask here. We will try to help. SCCA does not make this process intuitive (even for us). Choosing your correct Class is your responsibility.

Prices are cheaper for SCCA members, and one less line to stand in to Register. You can also pay with PAYPAL. One less line there too.

For Membership info, CLICK HERE to go to that page.

The earlier you register, the more likely you will receive your run group preference. Now would be a good time.

Hope to see many out this weekend.

Any other help needed? Post your questions here. cool.gif

------------- EXTRA WORKERS NEEDED FOR THIS EVENT ------------------

It takes dedicated volunteers to allow this Club to put on these events. Without them, the events would not exist. That is not a joke.

A number of important and necessary spots need some help this weekend, as well as going forward; On-site Registration, and Tech. I've been doing this (any and all positions) for many years, and still enjoy contributing to making these events happen. You could too. The Club positions indeed take some time and effort, but helping to produce events like ours is a nice reward.

Become part of this effort. Contact Dave Hurt or me for more details on how to join the crew. You do have to be a full SCCA Member to do so.
