Does anyone have a good source for Mazda motor mounts?

I need to locate the front and rear motor mounts for a 1999 626/LX 4cyl. Auto. I know I can go to the dealer but they want an arm and a leg. mad.gif I think there like $140 or $180 something each? Donít remember off hand but the lower tranny mount was almost $50 bucks and itís about the size of a pack of gum. huh.gif

I have looked in the 2003 rules (donít have a copy of the 2004 book) and I am trying to figure out what category you can compete in for the HS class. From the web page, it looks like:

ST2 (must run under all STOCK rules using 140 or higher tread wear tires.)

NV2 (can not stay here for ever but you can use R-Compound tires.)

What class could you run in using R-Compound tires once your time in NV2 is up?

Iíve been to the ďUnofficial SCCA Rule SiteĒ and it also offers little information about what is available for a HS class vehicle.

Is it assumed that you really compete in the CATEGORY but must follow the rules for the CLASS? It seems that way based on how the events are grouped and scored.

Any help is greatly appreciated. blink.gif

Iím wondering if anyone has a set of 4, 1982 through 1992 16Ēx8Ē Z28/IROC or Chevy Xtreme / ZQ8 wheels they would be willing to part with for very little cash? I donít care what they look like as long as they are not broken and are basically straight. Curbed, chipped or peeling paint is OK.

Iím on a very tight budget so money is an object. dry.gif

Would either of the following GTIís make a descent SOLO-II car?

Golf GTI VR6 with 5 or 6 speed transmission
Golf GTI 1.8T with 5 speed transmission

Looking at model years 2002 or 2003.

I am NOT looking for a top of the class car, but something I can drive daily with a fare amount of internal storage room and then take it out and play with it once a month or so. Since I currently drive the GMC Sonoma, dry.gif I think just about any car would be a big improvement in handling.

I was also thinking about a Mazda Protege5 Hatchback with the standard 5 speed transmission but it seems a bit down on horse power when compared to the GTI. blink.gif

Your honest and fare comments welcome.
