Not looking for anything fancy for the starter, used stock is fine as long as it works. I'm open to suggestions for the rear diff though (keeping the tight budget in mind).

This car was apparently a "drift missile" so the previous owner had installed a welded rear diff. Not so good for AutoX. But also, the previous owner did enough "modifications" that I will not be able to bring it back to life as an STS car, so it looks like I'm gonna be stuck in CSP. So, that being said, I have no idea if CSP uses something other than a stock rear diff or not. Thus, I am open to suggestions there.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hoping someone can help me out here (Dave Lahey, if you're on here).

I bought a set of used GC Perches and Eibach springs. Went to install last night, and I'm a bit lost (yes, I feel pretty stupid).

First question: The Eibach springs are smaller in diameter than the stock springs. The stock spring diameter matched the shock mounts we just bought but the Eibachs don't fill the shock mound seat (see photo). Seems this will be an issue. Do I need different shock mounts?

Question 2: There is a rubber "cap" piece (see photo) I keep putting on that was originally from when we first bought the car. It doesn't appear to do much more than act as a bit of a spacer but it doesn't fit in the Eibach spring due to the diameter. Is this piece necessary?

Question 3: The Eibach spring for the rear is about 3" shorter than the stock spring. Is this how it should be? It seems if I put the GC perch and spring on the way it was given to me, the rear of the car will sit 3" lower than the front. If I flip the perch seat on the sleeve, I can make up the difference in height, but I don't know if this is the right thing to do. I cannot find any installation manuals online or any instructional videos on YouTube. I just don't want to screw things up.

Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated!!
