Since another thread got into autotest events. Here is autotest for tractor trailers.

Every argument I've heard about slalom spacing is now invalid. tongue.gif

I grabbed a few photos between conflicts like my run/work, and posted them here.

I think I got most of the drivers. Note: The Tue/Wed course shots seem to have some stabilizer blur, but they're usable. Things worked better with it off on Thursday.

I grabbed a few pics of Run Group C before leaving.

From the AZSCCA, the group that runs the SCCA road races and PDX events-- The Octane Raceway kart event on August 19th. Indoor racing, out of the AZ heat. Each entrant will drive two races on the standard tracks, and the top 15 drivers will take on the full course (merged tracks) for the final race. More information here.

AutoXers vs. Road Racers: Who is really faster? Can the AutoXers use their "do it in 3-4 runs" experience to take an early lead? Will the road racers leverage their passing and defending experience to hold off the cone killers? Let's find out! (Road racers are recommended to wear orange, since AutoXers are used to swerving around similar colored objects ph34r.gif )

I'm in!

While I normally AutoX on R-comp and non-DOT tires, I ran the last few events on street tires to try something different. My 4 year old, pre-Star Spec Direzzas (the ones so bad they reformulated them shortly after release), are absolutely horrible. I want something better for street and occasional AutoX use.

R-S3s aren't available in the sizes I need. I've heard Star Specs are better suited to heavier cars. Toyo R1Rs and Bridgestone RE-11s are available in the sizes I need.

I know this means the question is: "Do you want a warm or cold weather tire?".
Which would you choose?
