I started registering for this event and was going to ask for waiver for my preferred working position. It didn't appear as an option. Was that working position eliminated (YEA! No more lines getting into the event, just like "the old -- and uncomplicated biggrin.gif -- days"!)???

Waiver is not an option to choose from when registering. But if you like, I can assign that to you for your worker position smile.gif (So long as you are an SCCA member, which I assume you are).

Thanks. I will put a note in the comments section as a reminder.

I thought everybody had to be a member to run - that there was a $15 fee (or something like that) to join at each event. Not so?

You don't have to be a member to run. Non-members just have to pay a little more than members.

You must be a SCCA member (temp or regular) to run or be in a car. I believe you must be a regular member to work waiver but defer to our waiver chief.

Waiver workers are to be regular SCCA members. Because of all the paperwork we prefer they be repeat workers that get assigned to do this job often. It's not difficult just tedious and you are away from all the action at the track.

We prefer members that can be friendly with the general public that shows up and asks a million questions.

Sharon has worked waiver many times and is always a welcome volunteer.

Also remember anyone showing up under 18 needs to show up with proper minor waiver paperwork fiilled out and notarized, or show up with your parent/guardian. This includes guests and participants.
