I have a 2014 BRZ and I'm looking at purchasing a used Solo Spec Coupe suspension from someone who is removing it from their car. This suspension costs about $1728 new plus tax on Tirerack. I'm looking for opinions on what is a legitimate price to pay for this setup used.

As far as I know all the parts are accounted for and in good shape. I don't know how long the person has had it on their car but I don't think it was a daily driver.

Thanks and sorry if this post is in the wrong place.

I think all of the unknowns would effect the prices a lot. I would find out if it was a daily driver and how many miles on it as well.

A general rule of thumb for any typical used performance parts is around 50%. Assuming good condition or better. I have bought and sold my fair share over the years. tongue.gif

Another general rule for selling used stuff is that the descriptions and history are usually embellished to some degree, especially if you don't know those involved.

As shared above there are many variables that might affect that 50% rule; popularity, your degree of need, availability, condition, age, miles, etc.

Good luck. smile.gif

50% of retail seems pretty low to me for lightly used shocks, springs, and swaybars. I'd be really surprised if you could get it that cheap, especially as that is a popular platform so I assume quite a bit of demand.
