With everything that's going on with the corona virus, we are going to be making a few changes to the Saturday's event.

- If you are not feeling well, we ask that you not come to the event. We will provide full refunds for any reason.
- We are rescinding our normal refund policy for this event. You can cancel at any time and get a full refund, whether you don't feel well or you don't want to come out.
- To cut down on use of the loaner helmets, only drivers will be able to borrow them. Passengers must provide their own helmets. Please note that we do not take any measures to clean helmets, so it use at your own discretion. The CDC currently says that they do not believe that the virus can be transmitted by sweat, but they are not 100%. Think of this as a good time to buy a helmet with one of the new Snell 2020 ratings. There are several shops in the valley where you can purchase motorcycle helmets that have Snell ratings. Helmet socks can be purchased on Amazon as an additional layer if you desire.

Again, if you are not feeling well or if you have any concerns about coming out to the event, you can cancel your registration at any time and we will give you a full refund.

See everyone on Saturday!

I'm on the fence about getting on a plane to fly over to Phoenix for the weekend. If I do need to cancel, is that done through Motorsportreg? - Chuck

That or send in an email. I believe you can cancel your registration yourself, someone on the registration team can process the refund after that.

I think that is going to be after the April event, the shirts for the award winners are taking longer than expected to make, they won't be ready by Saturday.

We've received direction from national SCCA that we should not be loaning out helmets at tomorrow's event. I apologize for the last minute change. We will give full refunds if you are unable to attend for any reason. Please let us know so we can process that for you. Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Anyone have a couple of links to local helmet stores?

A good investment if you attend a few events every year, would pay to just have your own.

The open face helmets are less expensive, and are favored by many of the drivers for better sound and visibility reasons.

OK, SCCA requires specific years and rating to be legal for Solo Competition.

Those are: (Snell SA or M typically). Note that 2005 helmets are due to expire the end of this year. If you buy, buy as new as you can afford.

One example, but JEGS is not nearby.

Summit Racing (but, not in town, however lists brands to look for)

Plus if you go buy yourself a helmet that means you MUST come back and autocross more to get some use out of it smile.gif.

I just want to clarify on the helmets. Is this should not loan or will not loan? Some (me) might take it as loaners will not be available at all.

I also see this on their site posted yesterday
"Events where loaner helmets are provided, balaclavas (head socks) and disinfectant spray should be offered."

I *think* this is correct........

Saturday event at AMP - NO loaner helmets at all.

Sunday at Marana (Tucson) - As of a few days ago, from Manfred.....

QUOTE
Third, we strongly recommend that all competitors bring their own helmet. If you choose to use one of our loaner helmets, we strongly recommend a head sock. Starting with this event, head socks will be available for purchase for $2.

The SCCA National edict on helmets came out after he posted that.

I'd just not count on loaner helmets. sad.gif

The SCCA National Office has suspended all national events for the rest of this month and that includes the Pro Solo event in Las Vegas.

The quote is just recommending bringing your own. Still nothing is clear. I don't want to find out tomorrow morning. I guess better to cancel now and get a refund.
