Memories........I owned two of those Darts, a number of Valiants, and many other Mopars. Loved the torsion bar front suspension, similar
to that found on Jaguars.
Lots of racing heritage from the original Nascar Valiants that creamed the Falcons and Corvairs back in 1960-61.

And I even bought the last "Hyper-Pak" long ram 4 barrel intake from Chrysler for one of my many drag-racing endeavors. That intake
design came directly from the Nascar program.

NASCAR Maximum Warlord Bill France saw that the new American compact cars- the Ford Falcon, Chevy Corvair, and Plymouth Valiant- were getting a lot of attention
in the marketplace, so he created the Compact Series, which ran during 1960 and 1961. Some big names participated, including Curtis Turner, Richard Petty, and Fireball
Roberts, and a few Volvos even got into the act. The Valiants utterly dominated, thanks to the Hyper-Pak Slant Six engine.

Those were the "good old days". Did I mention the 20 cent gasoline?
